On October 13th Parker County Committee on Aging (PCCOA) broke ground for their future home at 1410 Vine Street, Weatherford. The property donated by Jerry Durant, will house the Senior Center and Meals-on-Wheels. The new Senior Center will have about 17,000 plus square feet with a spacious kitchen to accommodate the more than 500 meals a day prepared for seniors and Meals-on-Wheels program. The increased space will allow for the expansion of current services and room for new seniors moving into Parker County. If you would like more information on the Meals-on-Wheels program, how to become involved at the Senior Center or would like more information on becoming a volunteer, please contact the PCCOA office at (817)596-4640.
