Doctor Christy Rutherford purchased Bowie Drive Animal Hospital in November of 2015.  Being a native to Weatherford and Brock Dr. Rutherford decided this was the perfect place to grow her family and her dream of owning her own veterinary practice.  They also have Doctor Bethany Butler.  Doctor Rutherford and Doctor Butler went to Abilene Christian University and Texas A&M together, graduating from the same class. Doctor Rutherford is experienced in emergency medicine, dental as well as surgery and general practice.  Bowie Drive has digital radiograph, digital dental x-ray and in house lab equipment for Blood and urine analysis.  Hours of operation Monday – Friday 7:30am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to noon.

5/10       Freedom House Transitional Housing 1152 Camelia St. Weatherford 817-596-7543 www.freedomhousepc.org
Freedom House is proud to announce the grand opening of its Transitional Housing Program. Transitional Housing is for survivors of violence to have a place to live with their children, while they get back on their feet. They will receive intensive assistances from Freedom House Advocates during their stay, so they can achieve self-sufficiency. Families will be able to stay in their apartments while working on their plan for up to 2 years. Transitional Housing usually is needed after emergency shelter. These four, fully furnished apartments have been decorated by items donated by the community. Parker County’s ZONTA club took on one of the apartments and it is especially warm and welcoming. Freedom House’s advocates and volunteers made the other three beautiful. Freedom House’s Board of Directors has worked hard to make this dream a reality. If you or any one you know is suffering from violence, whether it is verbal, physical or sexual, please contact as at 817 596 7543 or visit our website at www.freedomhousepc.org.
