The Parker County Heritage Society will host the 33rd Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes on Saturday, December 13, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Both local folks and out of town visitors will tour some of the finest historic homes and buildings all decked out for Christmas. With the purchase of a ticket, you can tour as many places as you like between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
Over the past 32 years the Parker County Heritage Society has hosted this event to raise funds. The proceeds allow them to accomplish a variety of preservation tasks throughout the community.
There are 11 venues on the tour this year which are listed below.
All Saints’ Anglican Church, 125 S Waco Street
The Blaisdell Home, 413 W Baylor Street
The Blankenship Home, 309 W Josephine Street
The Caudill Home, 513 W Lee Ave
Chandor Gardens, 711 W Lee Ave
The Doss Heritage & Culture Center, 1400 Texas Drive
The Lott Home, 406 W Columbia
The Lynch Home, 207 W Josephine
The Museum of the Americas, 216 Fort Worth Hwy
The Pythian Home, 1825 E Bankhead Drive
The Woodruff Home, 412 Jefferson St
The tour will also feature horse drawn carriage and wagon rides which will begin at Chandor Gardens. You will also be able to enjoy the sound of caroler’s at some of the venues later in the evening.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under and they are on sale now at
the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce and The Doss Heritage & Culture Center located at 1400 Texas Drive.
