Leadership Weatherford is off to a great year. The class began with an overnight retreat in September at The Texas Star. During the retreat, members of the class not only learned about others in the class but of themselves as well. They discovered their personality types, learned the various ways that individuals learn and many other beneficial lessons. The group really bonded throughout the event. In October the class visited Weatherford City officials and Parker County officials. November was a special time to learn how to give back to the community as they learned about 10 local non-profits, what they do & how they can serve. This class just continues to bond and work with each other in other avenues.

In January, Leadership Weatherford will learn more about health care in Weatherford by hearing from Weatherford Regional Medical Center and the Parker County Hospital District. In February there will be the opportunity to witness the work of the Weatherford School District as well as   Weatherford College. March will be all about the industry our community has. The class will be directed by Dennis Clayton, Economic Development and will be followed by tours of various industrial facilities. April is about equine and agriculture. In May, this class will graduate from the program with a wealth of knowledge as to the makeup of our community. This group of 15 will make a difference!
