IRON SKILLET® RESTAURANT INSIDE PETRO STOPPING CENTERS®

TO FEATURE PARKER COUNTY PEACH FESTIVAL WINNING COBBLER

Iron Skillet Restaurant announces limited time offering of Peach Festival winning entry. Ever wonder what the blue ribbon winning entries at the Peach Festival taste like? Well now you can at Iron Skillet Restaurant. For a limited time, August 1 – August 30th, Michele Burns’ prize winning peach cobbler will be featured on the daily lunch and dinner buffet at the Iron Skillet Restaurant in Weatherford.

Michele Burns, of Mineral Wells, never dreamed when she moved from Vermont that she would be the Grand Champion of the Food Competition at this year’s Parker County Peach Festival. In her first year of competing at the Peach Festival, she won first place for her peach cobbler, second for peach bread and 3rd place in the Jam/Jelly division.

“We are very pleased to be able to give everyone the opportunity to taste this First Place product,” said the general manager of Iron Skillet, Gary Herring.

Ms. Burns is an Army veteran with a garden in her backyard. “I started doing canning competitions since I had so many vegetables to deal with,” said Burns. When asked to have her peach cobbler included in the Iron Skillet buffet, Burns remarked, “This is so exciting!”

The Iron Skillet, located at Petro Stopping Centers at 2001 Santa Fe Dr. (exit 409westbound off I-20), is very honored to feature this prize winning dessert.
