Mark your calendars for Parker County’s Annual Countywide Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 11th, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. All county residents, including those that live inside city boundaries, can participate and bring their disposables to the nearest Precinct Barn. As a courtesy to precinct workers, items should be bagged securely, no loose garbage, and separated to speed unloading and reduce labor.
Acceptable items include: aluminum, iron, glass, dried paint cans, lumber, limbs and brush, newspapers, cardboard, furniture, appliances and tires (rims removed). Unacceptable items include: commercial waste, chemicals, shingles, wet paint and flammables.
Collection bags are available at the precincts. County officials suggest residents form “clean teams” to clean and mow around personal and public property and roadways, offering help to the elderly and disabled. Teams should wear bright colored clothing and protective gloves, eye wear and shoes.
