Oct. 10-12 – Greenwood Farms Fall Horse Trials
This nationally recognized horse triathlon consists of dressage, show jumping, and cross-country jumping tests for each horse and rider combination. Spectators are welcome, free of charge. Oct. 11 - 3rd Annual Hometown Heritage Stampede Festival – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm  
FREE to the public. This annual festival celebrates Weatherford's historic western heritage and unique past in the historic downtown area. Enjoy western themed entertainment including Buffalo Bill's Cowboy Band, Texas Trick Ropers, The Legends of Texas, Buttermilk Junction and Texas Western Legends. Pony rides, chuck wagons and stage coaches will also be present for the public to enjoy, along with a longhorn steer photo opportunity. Enjoy a variety of food vendors and the Kiddie Korral children's area. Downtown shops, restaurants and clothing vendors open for business.
