We are honored to have David Orcutt, CEO of Weatherford Regional Medical Center on the Chamber Board of Directors. David grew up in Fort Worth, graduating from Southwest High School in 1984. He attended Texas Christian University, graduating with a BS in Political Science, and a Minor in Science in 1989. He spent 8 years on active duty in the US Navy as a nuclear submarine officer, serving on the fast attack submarine USS Newport News, SSN-750 based in Norfolk VA. He continued working with the Navy Reserves, eventually becoming Commanding Officer of a Waterfront Support Unit, and of a 70-man unit supporting Amphibious Group One in Sasebo, Japan. He retired as a Commander in 2012.
David returned to Texas to get his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999. He then joined Health Management Associates, advancing through three hospitals before becoming CEO of Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston AL. But, he wanted to get back to Texas, so he joined Community Health Systems, where he enjoyed working as CEO of Lake Granbury Medical Center for 6 years. In 2013, he happily accepted the opportunity to join Weatherford Regional Medical Center.
David and his wife Jennifer live in Granbury with their 3 kids and a German Shepherd.
